We are currently seeking Casual Maintenance Road Workers to join our skilled workforce pool, supporting road maintenance teams across multiple Perth metropolitan depots - Hazelmere, WA and Jandakot, WA .

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential road maintenance activities and work as part of a collaborative team maintaining busy road networks.

Eligibility: Long-term opportunity. Please note: Only Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered for this role. Working Holiday Visa holders will not be accepted due to the nature of the engagement.

Hourly rate: $48.00 per hour  (inclusive of 25% casual loading) + Super

Roster & Hours

  • 80 ordinary hours per fortnight across 9 shifts.
    • 9 days × 9 hours, 1 day × 8 hours, plus 1 rostered day off (RDO).
  • Rostered between 6:00am – 6:00pm with 30-minute unpaid lunch.
  • Occasional overtime may apply for emergency/incident response (pre-approval required).
Key Duties
  • Perform minor road maintenance including pothole repairs, gully replacement, brush cutting, minor pruning, and sign/guidepost replacement
  • Assist with graffiti removal and general roadside maintenance
  • Concreting and pipe laying
  • Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently such as excavators/bobcats
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience working in high traffic-volume environments
  • Competency operating mobile plant and equipment
  • Strong understanding of safety systems, risk management, and compliance
Qualifications
  • WA Driver’s Licence (Essential) - Medium-Rigid Driver's Licence or higher
  • Construction White Card (Essential)
  • Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) (Essential)
  • Current Police Clearance
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor labour
