The role

We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Maintenance Fitter located at our Campbellfield site in Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs with a strong focus on planned and predictive maintenance and continuous improvement.

This is a permanent day shift role with occasional call outs after hours and overtime opportunities available. This role is located in Campbellfield, Victoria.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety, health and environmental standards are maintained.
  • Deliver mechanical maintenance services on site.
  • Participate in the maintenance program including preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Undertake tasks associated with maintenance shutdowns including assistance with planning and organising as required.
  • Manage the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of production moulds to tight tolerances.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of plans to drive continuous improvement.

What you will need to succeed

  • Trade Qualification - Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting with welding and machining competence.
  • Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage.
  • Proven history in mechanical maintenance, repairs, and hydraulics experience.
  • Willingness to be cross trained in all machinery operations.
  • Current Fork and Boom Lift licenses.
  • A good understanding of computer systems, including SAP, would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication ability with strong interpersonal skills.
