The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Procurement Officer to support our Australian operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in supply chain and international logistics within a global business, working across procurement, exports, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure critical shipments move safely, compliantly, and on time.

If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and working across global time zones in a fast-paced environment, this role will give you exposure to international trade, supplier management, and end-to-end procurement operations.

The Day to Day

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and review export documentation, invoices, packing lists, and internal approvals

  • Coordinate shipments with warehouses, forwarders, airlines, couriers, and ALS export partners

  • Obtain freight quotations and negotiate rates with logistics providers

  • Maintain shipment logs, costings, reconciliations, and audit documentation

  • Place and manage purchase orders in line with ALS procurement policy

  • Liaise with suppliers and end users to provide order updates and resolve issues

  • Support credit/debit notes, claims, and invoice reconciliations with Finance

  • Ensure compliance with export regulations, safety standards, and corporate guidelines

You’ll play a key role in ensuring supply continuity, regulatory compliance, and strong service delivery across domestic and international operations.

The Essentials

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or Finance

  • 2+ years’ experience in logistics, procurement, or a similar supply chain role

  • Strong understanding of export/import procedures and international shipping requirements

  • Advanced MS Excel and accurate data entry skills

  • Experience using ERP or purchasing systems (e.g. Pronto) is advantageous

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong stakeholder and customer service focus

  • Confidence working across global time zones

IMDG, IATA or DG certification (or willingness to obtain) will be highly regarded — ALS will provide relevant training if required.
