About the company
Operating for over 20 years, this McLaren Vale-based wine business has evolved into a globally distributed producer with a strong export focus. Approximately 70–80% of production is exported, with the United States representing the largest and most significant market. This creates a complex, high-volume logistics environment spanning domestic warehousing, international freight, export documentation, and multi-market coordination.

With operations supported by both local and international teams, including a presence in the U.S. and Asia, the business offers exposure to cross-border supply chain activity and end-to-end export logistics management.

About the Role

• Due to ongoing growth, a new opportunity has been created for a Logistics Manager.
• This is a fast-paced, agile business where logistics plays a critical role in commercial performance, and continuous improvement is actively encouraged across inventory management, warehousing, and export processes.
• Reporting to the Systems and Compliance Manager, the role will take ownership of day-to-day logistics operations
• The role is highly operational in nature, with approximately 50–60% of time spent on hands-on logistics activities including stock coordination, process management, export documentation and reporting. The remainder of the role focuses on improving systems, leading the team and supporting continuous improvement across logistics functions.

Tasks and Duties

• Coordinate daily operations with contract warehouses to ensure service levels and product quality are maintained
• Manage inventory reconciliation, stock accuracy, and participate in physical stocktakes
• Monitor and report on stock movements, depletions, and logistics performance metrics
• Ensure compliance across domestic and export markets, including documentation and reporting requirements
• Support significant export operations, including high-volume international (particularly U.S.) distribution
• Liaise with freight providers and monitor supplier performance, escalating issues where required
• Provide daily on-site operational support and leadership to logistics team members
• Develop and maintain SOPs and support training across logistics and export processes

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or similar (wine, FMCG, or export environment highly regarded)
• Experience managing or coordinating export logistics and international freight strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• ERP system experience (MYOB highly desirable)
• Confident communication skills with the ability to engage across operational and leadership levels
