Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised Inventory Procurement Officer.
The Inventory Procurement Officer role forms part of the programs supply chain team, reports directly to the Procurement Supervisor. The role supports procurement activities across assigned programs and is required to operate in accordance with organisational governance frameworks, functional standards, and all applicable Commonwealth policies, rules and instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to apply procurement practices in a Defence Supply Chain Environment
- Manage procurement through to delivery, ensure delivery of supply to the required schedule, scope and quality
- Being comfortable with Technology and Systems, you will work to maintain data integrity of the inventory management systems and logistics databases in support of Program requirements.
- Working with the SPO Inventory Team to ensure the efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain the established stock levels.
- Identify candidate suppliers, including preparing and issuing requests for quotation and evaluation offers
- Apply Commonwealth policies, rules and instructions throughout the procurement process.
- Ensure correct use of Expenditure Type Proposals (ETPs), commitment approvals and financial delegations in accordance with applicable Commonwealth thresholds.
- Support supply chain due-diligence activities as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Certificate III in Supply Chain (Procurement, Material Logistics) or equivalent experience
- Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, eg SAP, Maximo, EAGLE, MILIS, Windows OS
- Purchasing and Supply Customer Account clerk experience
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
