ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is currently seeking a Logistics and Procurement Officer to support the operational and administrative functions of their growing organisation operating within the mining and technology sector.

This role plays an important part in coordinating equipment procurement, workforce logistics, travel arrangements and operational scheduling for small operational teams working across site locations. The position requires a highly organised individual who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.

An initial onboarding period will take place in the Bungendore office to allow the successful candidate to learn internal systems, processes, and workflows. Following this period, the role will transition to a fully remote working arrangement.

As this is a remote position, applicants must have access to a dedicated home office or quiet workspace with reliable internet to ensure a professional and interruption-free environment during online meetings and daily communications.

This opportunity suits someone who enjoys working within a close-knit team environment, has strong coordination skills, and is comfortable supporting operations within the mining or heavy industry sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend occasional face-to-face meetings with team members and contractors in Bungendore, ensuring schedules, logistics and documentation are well organised.

  • Manage the procurement and ordering of equipment, tools, machinery parts and general supplies, ensuring timely delivery to support operational requirements.

  • Coordinate employee travel and accommodation for site-based and FIFO personnel, including flights, accommodation bookings and travel schedules.

  • Prepare and manage worker rosters and shift allocations, ensuring operational staffing requirements are met.

  • Utilise modern software platforms, scheduling tools and communication applications to manage workflows and participate in regular online meetings.

  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets and operational tracking systems related to equipment, workforce scheduling and logistics.

  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and external service providers to support smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Respond to time-sensitive operational requests and assist in resolving logistical issues as they arise.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ experience within the mining, resources or heavy industry sector.

  • Practical familiarity with tools, machinery and equipment parts used in industrial or mining environments.

  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability, particularly in operational or logistical situations.

  • Experience building and maintaining efficient systems, spreadsheets and tracking tools.

  • Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and digital tools used for communication, scheduling and operations management.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team environment.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia.
