Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Freight & Logistics Coordinator with experience in vehicle or freight logistics to join our operations team.  This role will see you managing and coordinating the movement of vehicles across our Wholesale operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective transport solutions that keep our business moving.

Key responsibilities include:

• Booking all freight for incoming vehicles both from dealerships and private individuals.
• Book outbound freight as required and ensure appropriately costed to vehicles.
• Control the flow of vehicles into our warehouse.
• Track all vehicles in transit, communicating ETAs for inbound vehicles and ETDs for outbound vehicles to internal staff and external customers.
• Obtain through knowledge acquired, the best rates of transport for specific lanes and the specific lane times by provider and book transport accordingly.
• Test supplier rates regularly to ensure best pricing.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable over freight invoices received to ensure accurate freight expense is recorded.
• Responsible for a maintenance of a Vehicle freight register that is reconciled daily that shows where every vehicle in stock is at any one point in time.

Qualifications

About you:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in freight or logistics coordination, ideally within the automotive industry
• High level of analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Highly organised, able to manage your day independently while thriving in a team environment.
• Strong verbal communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high commitment to success.
• Holds a current driver’s license and willing to undergo a National Police Clearance.
