The Role

As our Freight Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive seamless, on-time and accurate freight services. You’ll manage import freight operations while building strong relationships with clients, vendors and partners.

Seeking a proactive, positive-minded customer service professional who is confident speaking with customers to ensure relationships with clients and partners are maintained at service-excellence levels.

This is a diverse, fast-paced role that requires initiative, strong communication skills, and a commitment to outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Import Freight Coordination: Coordinate all import freight activities including quoting, booking, documentation, data entry, billing, and shipment tracking. Handle FCL/LCL and airfreight cartage coordination. Manage shipments from order through to final delivery.

•Customer & Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers. Advise clients on delivery terms, insurance, payment, and other requirements. Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries.

Operational Support: Perform day-to-day operations tasks across varied import shipments. Collaborate with internal teams to support operational excellence. Keep your team leader informed of issues requiring attention.

•Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and records in CargoWise. Review and process import documentation. Track vessels and liaise with shipping lines and consolidators. Handle dangerous or controlled goods and ensure correct permits/licences are in place. Follow up on quotations and ensure documents such as invoices are complete and accurate.

•Demonstrate strong performance, attention to detail, and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.

•Bring freight forwarding or logistics experience (import experience preferred) and a customer-first mindset.

•Build strong relationships through clear communication and teamwork.

•Experience with CargoWise is a plus.
