Forklift Operator

We currently have exciting opportunities for Casual Forklift Operators to join our operations team. Reporting into the Production Lead, you will be responsible for the collection and transportation of raw materials, packaging and finished products from suppliers, storage and delivery facilities at our Hearn Street site in Colac.

Please note, a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen will be required as part of the recruitment process

Hours (rotating roster):

Successful applicants will be required to work on a rotating roster across multiple days and shift times including.

• Morning 6am-2pm

• Afternoon 2pm-10pm

• Overnight 10pm-6am

Pay:

• Rates from $35 per hour

• Additional penalty rates and allowances including 15% loading for the afternoon shift and 30% loading for the overnight shift apply!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Forklift operation 

• Obtain and complete daily work instructions 

• Collect and move materials and products to, between and from processes including transporting to freezers / cool rooms, transporting materials from storage facilities and collecting materials from suppliers 

• Use RF scanners to scan and track inventory accurately

• Recording daily stock counts 

• Unload and loading of product vans 

• Chemical storage and movements around site

• Waste collection and disposal

You will have:

To be successful within this role you must hold a current LF Forklift Licence, and have 2 years previous Forklift Driving experience, ideally within a similar environment.  

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Basic computer skills  

• Ability to comply with all standards in relation to Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Hygiene, Quality Assurance and Conduct.
