Do you love working outdoors and near the water? Our oyster nursery is looking for a motivated Farm Hand to help raise and care for premium oysters. Join a supportive team and play a key role in sustainable shellfish farming.

The Opportunity: 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Farm Hand to join our Juvenile Team based on the pristine shorefront of Albany’s Emu Point.

You will be involved in all aspects of rock oyster Juvenile operations including:

• Operate farm vessels and vehicles as required.
• Support compliance management including water sampling and environmental monitoring.
• Follow the direction of the work plan as specified in daily toolbox meetings.
• Collecting and recording of data.
• Collect, grade, pack, load, unload, move and deploy shellfish to the land-based nursery and the on-water farm areas as required.
• General maintenance duties.
• Operating mechanical equipment such as, but not limited to, grading machines, bagging machines, folk lift, tractor, pressure cleaning equipment, hydraulic equipment and pumps as required.
• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to.

**Please note that this position is permanent so not suitable for people on short term /working holiday visas**

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Class C Driver’s licence.
• Progressive and positive attitude.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices.
• Motivation and be hard-working, willing to positively contribute to the Harvest Road culture.
• Strong work ethic and enjoy being part of a close-knit and passionate team.
• Be a self-starter, and confident working independently.
• Willingness to fill in across all operational requirements when required.
• Pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.
• Possess sufficient fitness level to carry out required tasks.
