Excavator Operator – Tree Work

The job

• Full‑time, 50 hr weeks, Monday to Friday

• 6:30 am start at the yard in (near Kyneton / Daylesford)

• Work is about 50% local / 50% away

• Meals and accom provided when you’re away

• $30–40 p/hr based on experience, OT after 50 hours

You’ll mainly be:

• Running an excavator every day

• Using grabs, saw head and mulcher attachments for tree removal and land clearing

• Working on vegetation, land clearing and fire management jobs across Victoria (and sometimes interstate)

• Loading and unloading gear and helping the crew keep machines in good nick

From there, you can learn:

• Dozer

• Posi track and attachments

Must have

Please only apply if you have:

• 3+ years on excavators

• Tree work experience (not just civils)

• HR licence and can load/unload machines safely

• Able to pass on‑site VOC

Good to have (we can train the right person on some of this)

• Experience with 360 rotating grab and saw attachments

• Chainsaw skills (tickets a bonus)

• Vegetation ID / tree or fire management experience

• Arborist background

• HC truck licence
