The Opportunity

WEM Water has a rewarding opportunity for an Excavator Operator to join the team.

We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydney's Northwest and Southwest. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plant Operations: Operate an Excavator (up to 50T) to dig deep trenches under Sydney Water requirements
  • Machine Maintenance: Conduct daily maintenance checks, including oil levels and greasing
  • Clean & Tidy Equipment: Ensure the machine is kept clean and well-organised at all times
  • Assist with other site duties as needed to ensure project timelines are met.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years experience operating an Excavator, with experience digging deep trenches and ability to apply basic compaction and material movement knowledge
  • Excavator VOC will be highly regarded (however not essential)
  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practices
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative 
  • A construction white card
  • Valid Driver’s Licence with flexibility to travel between job sites 
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
