Workshop Manager__
ABB Motion Services, based in Eagle Farm, Queensland, is seeking a number of skilled Electrical Fitters to join our team on fixed-term contracts, with the potential for contract extensions or future permanent opportunities.
As Australia's ABB Traction Workshop, we bring over 40 years of expertise in AC/DC traction motor testing, diagnostics, manufacturing, machining, repairs, and full overhauls. Supported by industry-leading onsite testing facilities, we deliver critical services to some of Australia's leading rail and transport customers.

Your role and responsibilities
Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines.
Perform workshop tasks such as troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing.
Check bill of materials and other documents to identify required parts needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available.
Ensure the completion, processing, and maintenance of all required documentation.
Perform Electrical testing and recording of measurements as per OEM standard and complete motor stator and armature rewind.
Qualifications for the role
Hold a recognised Australian Electrical Fitter trade qualification and current Electrical Licence (mandatory).
Recently completed apprenticeship or have up to 2 years of post apprenticeship experience in a relevant electrical trade role.
Exposure to, or a strong interest in, stator and armature rewinding, with a willingness to develop specialised skills through on the job training.
Basic understanding of rotating motors and generators, with an interest in working across the Industrial and Rail sectors.
Demonstrated aptitude for electrical and mechanical repair, maintenance, or refurbishment activities, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Able to produce clear and accurate inspection reports, both handwritten and via digital reporting platforms.
Hold a current Queensland driver’s licence.
