What’s on offer?
We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Electrical Estimator or an experienced Electrician or Electrical Engineer wanting to take the next step in their career for our Water Infrastructure Projects within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business. In this role you'll be responsible for:
Use of first principles to develop accurate electrical estimates for Utility based projects (predominantly Water and Waste Water Treatment and distribution)
Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, and production times etc
Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
Build relationships with key stakeholders (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
Liaise with clients and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs
Participate in review processes with senior management
Understanding, following and reinforcing the use of our established estimating processes to ensure internal governance is achieved and Senior Management have confidence in the tender price presented.
How you'll connect to the role:
Proven experience, and track record as an Electrical Estimator in a tier 1 environment (alternatively experience working on-site in the waste water or utility industry)
Experience pricing large and small Water / Waste Water projects – ideally involving Utility Infrastructure
Familiarity with financial and project management principles
Good communication and presentation skills
Experience in using Expert Estimator Genesis is desired, but not a requirement
Experience in estimating O&M rates based opportunities will also be highly regarded
