What you’ll do:

WSP Australia is seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to join our Mining team based in Newcastle. Supporting a range of small to medium-sized projects, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective management and control of project documentation across the full lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams on mining and resources projects, contributing to the smooth and compliant delivery of project outcomes. You’ll be;

  • Maintaining document registers and ensuring accurate version control and traceability 
  • Coordinating document workflows, including reviews, approvals, and transmittals 
  • Ensuring compliance with WSP and client document control processes and standards 
  • Liaising with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to support document flow 
  • Performing quality checks on documentation prior to issue 
  • Preparing reports on document status and supporting project close-out activities

About you:

  • Experience in a Document Controller or similar role within engineering, mining, or construction environments 
  • Strong understanding of document control processes and lifecycle requirements 
  • Experience using document management systems (e.g. Aconex, TeamBinder, SharePoint or similar) 
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a project environment 
  • Confident working with a range of stakeholders across project teams 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
