Diesel Fitter – FIFO – Northern Territory – Flights fr. Brisbane/Darwin/Perth

We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Diesel Fitter in Tanami, Northern Territory.

About the role: 

We are looking for a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining heavy plant and machinery, such as construction equipment, trucks, crushing equipment and other vehicles. Your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing mechanical issues, conduct repairs and maintenance, and ensure that all equipment is in safe and optimal working condition.

Take advantage of an even-time, 2:2 roster with the position open to candidates in Brisbane, Perth, Darwin or Alice Springs.

You will:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy

machinery, vehicles and equipment.

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns on

mobile equipment and fixed plant.

• Conduct scheduled servicing of equipment including light vehicles
• Document all repair and maintenance activities.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during repairs and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the site team and communicate any issues or delays.
• Forecast, order and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.

You will have:

• HR Licence
• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card).
• Minimum of 4+ years experience as a Heavy Mechanic.
• Previous experience in a FIFO role, preferably in a mining environment.

Additional tickets such as Operating Loader, Excavator or Articulated Trucks, would be advantageous.
