Our Distribution Centre is the beating heart of MECCA. Based in Tullamarine, this role plays a critical part in ensuring our products move seamlessly from supplier to store and straight into the hands of our customers. 

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our DC Leadership Team on an 18-month fixed-term contract, leading the Afternoon Shift (Sunday to Thursday, 2:30pm–10:30pm). This is a hands-on leadership role where safety, performance, and people come first — every single shift. 

 

The Role You Could Play 

Reporting to the DC Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving high performance across people, safety and operations on your shift. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Leading a large, multi-layered team to ensure accurate and efficient movement of stock across inbound, outbound and online fulfilment 

  • Creating and embedding a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all legislative and MECCA safety standards 

  • Managing shift performance against operational, service and productivity KPIs 

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, capability and team engagement 

  • Acting as a key leader within the DC, partnering cross-functionally with Supply Chain, People & Education, Finance and Support Centre teams 

 

What You Will Bring 

We’re looking for a confident, people-first leader with strong operational expertise. You’ll bring: 

  • 8+ years’ experience in a management role within a fast-paced distribution, logistics or operations environment 

  • Proven experience leading large teams across complex warehouse operations 

  • Strong knowledge of safety leadership, compliance and risk management 

  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs 

  • The ability to lead through change while building trust, engagement and performance
