Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Crane Operator to join our team, supporting the safe and efficient lifting of poles, transformers, switchboards and other electrical infrastructure across our Accredited Service Provider (ASP) works. Description

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Operating cranes and lifting equipment safely and efficiently on construction and electrical infrastructure sites
  • Conducting lifts for poles, transformers, switchboards, conduits, pits, cable drums, generators and other electrical assets
  • Setting up cranes to lift plans, site conditions, and manufacturer specifications and completing pre-start checks
  • Working closely with dogmen, riggers, line workers, electricians and supervisors during lifting activities
  • Assisting field crews with general construction, electrical infrastructure and labouring activities when crane operations aren't required
  • Completing required documentation, including pre-starts, crane logs, lift permits and maintenance records
  • Maintaining site housekeeping and ensuring work areas remain safe, clean and organised

Skills And Experiences

About You:

  • Proven experience operating cranes in construction, utilities, infrastructure or electrical environments
  • Excavator operation experience highly regarded
  • Construction Induction Card (WhiteCard)
  • HR Driver’s Licence (Required), HC Licence (Desirable)
  • A strong safety mindset, with comfort working near live electrical assets, overhead powerlines and heavy plant
  • Physical fitness for a hands-on role, including climbing, bending and manual handling
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Great communication skills and a genuine "can do" attitude
