RM Surveys is seeking experienced Construction Surveyors based in South Africa who are interested in relocating to Perth, Western Australia to support the delivery of complex urban construction and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

You’ll join our Perth-based Construction & Engineering team, working closely with builders, engineers, and project managers to deliver precise set-out, verification, and spatial data across a diverse portfolio of metro construction, civil, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate survey activities in line with project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Maintain compliant and accessible survey data management systems
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients and internal stakeholders

Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE)

  • Follow HSQE procedures and promote a strong safety culture
  • Implement Safety Management Plans and project-specific SWMS
  • Participate in toolbox talks, investigations, and monthly meetings

Business & Client Engagement

  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for growth
  • Record client interactions and share market insights with leadership

Operational & Technical Support

  • Follow departmental best-practice systems and RM Surveys’ Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Ensure surveying equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operational
  • Complete accurate timesheets and contribute to performance reviews

Desired Experience & Qualification

About You

  • Recognised surveying qualification (construction or engineering focus)
  • Proven experience in construction surveying
  • Strong capability with survey software, digital tools, and data workflows
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe, high-quality work practices
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative team mindset

Desirable

  • Experience on major civil, infrastructure, or regional projects
  • Current White Card and driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain in Australia)
