About the Company

ConsultANZ is looking for a Construction Manager for a leading civil construction company involved in one of Australia’s largest infrastructure programs. The role involves overseeing multi-billion-dollar projects related to road, pavement, and asphalt construction across regional Queensland. We are seeking an experienced manager ready to take the next step in their career and contribute their knowledge and leadership to deliver successful outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities on large-scale road and pavement projects valued at $5bn, as part of a $9bn program.

  • Manage site operations across multiple regional locations, including asphalt plants established to support delivery.

  • Supervise project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

  • Coordinate workforce planning and recruitment, with preference for asphalt experience but also considering spray seal expertise.

  • Deliver a $300m project package by mid-2026, split into stages.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Report on progress, budgets, and schedules to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 4 years in a senior site or project management role.

  • Strong background in pavements, roading, and asphalt construction.

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and compliance on large projects.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Willingness to live and work in regional areas.
