Australia is facing a nationwide shortage of qualified heavy vehicle Auto Electricians, particularly those with experience on premium European truck brands.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience on:

  • Volvo Trucks (highly regarded)
  • Daimler / Mercedes-Benz Trucks
  • MAN
  • Scania
  • Other European or premium heavy vehicle manufacturers

Roles are available Australia-wide, including major metropolitan areas and regional centres. We are flexible and will work with candidates to place them in locations that best suit their lifestyle and career goals.

Age guide: Ideally under 42 years of age to support future eligibility for Australian Permanent Residency pathways (not a strict requirement, but strongly preferred).

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, having worked on commercial vehicles
  • Trade qualification in Auto Electrician
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Have a valid forklift license preferred but not essential
  • Available to travel to various locations when needed.
  • Knowledge and experience of modern heavy vehicle and trailer electrical and electronic systems.
  • Be self-motivated and work in a professional manner.
  • Team player with the ability to work unsupervised

The Role:

  • Accurately note and complete service repair orders
  • Carry out service and repairs according to manufacturers specification
  • Complete electrical fit out to new vehicle / trailer builds
  • Attend electrical breakdowns if required
  • Ensure all installations, service and repairs are accurately documented and to quality standards
  • EBS brake system maintenance
  • Strong Knowledge of electrical Systems
  • Experience with heavy vehicles is essential

 

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: AUD $79,000 per year
  • (Approximately ZAR 940,000 – 970,000 per year, exchange rate dependent)
