Cleaner/ Sanitation Worker

Employal Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for reliable and hardworking Cleaners/Sanitation Workers to join a busy food manufacturing facility based in Botany.
These positions are offered on a coverage basis, making them ideal for candidates who are flexible and seeking the opportunity to work full-time hours.
Available Coverage Shifts & Pay Rates:

• Morning Shift: 6:00AM – 2:00PM – $34.96 per hour
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00PM – 10:00PM – $40.20 per hour

Candidates must be flexible and available to work across different shifts based on weekly requirements.

The duties may involve the following:

• Cleaning and sanitising food production lines, equipment and work areas
• Cleaning trays, utensils, Eurobins and production equipment
• Operating industrial washing and cleaning equipment
• Manually cleaning equipment where required
• Removing food and general waste from production areas
• Replacing bin liners and correctly separating waste
• Cleaning floors, walls, ceilings and Perspex covers
• Using cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
• Maintaining high hygiene, food safety and sanitation standards
• Completing cleaning and sanitation documentation
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures
• Wearing the required personal protective equipment at all times
• Working in wet and cool-room production environments

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Full working rights and availability from Monday to Friday
• Flexibility to work morning or afternoon shifts
• Previous cleaning experience within a food manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe chemical handling
• Comfortable working in wet and cool-room environments
• Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Understanding of GMP, food safety and workplace hygiene requirements

• Willingness to complete a functional assessment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
