This role is based on a chemical manufacturing site, offering the opportunity to work on diverse brownfield and greenfield projects while collaborating closely with contractors, internal stakeholders, and site teams.

About the Role

In this hands-on engineering and project delivery position, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and issuing contractor Scope of Work (SOW) packs

  • Conducting tendering activities, including technical bid evaluations

  • Reviewing, checking, and approving civil and structural design documents

  • Evaluating and negotiating contractor pricing

  • Managing smaller civil and structural projects from initiation through to close-out

  • Coordinating and overseeing civil work teams on-site (White Card essential)

  • Preparing and reviewing JSEAs

  • Developing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

  • Supporting and overseeing design of unloading concrete tanks and associated concrete structures

About You

We’re looking for a degree-qualified, registered civil and structural engineer with:

  • Demonstrated experience with concrete structures, ideally including the design of concrete tanks

  • Experience working on industrial or chemical manufacturing sites (highly regarded)

  • Proven experience delivering civil/structural projects

  • Strong understanding of contractor management

  • Experience in tendering, pricing evaluations, and negotiations

  • Construction White Card (mandatory)

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team

What’s on Offer

  • 12-month contract with potential for extension

  • Exposure to complex engineering projects on a chemical manufacturing site

  • Work with a high-performing engineering and operations team

  • Competitive hourly/daily rate depending on experience
