What’s on offer?
Owing to an internal promotion, the Fulton Hogan Infrastructure Services (Central Region) business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team. Reporting directly to the General Manager whilst providing leadership to a team of 5 direct reports, the Finance Manager will play a key role in both operational and strategic initiatives for the business from a financial perspective. This is a multi -faceted role within a complex, fast moving business that can offer the incumbent a degree of variety and challenges in their day-to-day work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Actively leading the development of the annual strategy business plan, annual financial budget and reforecasting for all business units across the region and subsequently presenting to executive management.
- Leading the overall region’s month end reporting process ensuring timeliness accuracy and statutory compliance.
- Leading the review of major projects to ensure the performance is presented in a true and accurate manner.
- Monitoring and reporting on the cashflow position of the region in ensuring the key metrics in managing levels of liquidity and working capital are met.
- Preparing and presenting various management reports to executive management and board/directors.
- Management and mentoring of the finance team including accounting and administration roles.
- Preparing and submitting Regional Capital requests and business cases
- Establishing effective financial controls to ensure compliance and accuracy within the region.
- Monitoring of the region’s environmental performance in line with FH Group’s overall carbon strategy.
- Actively driving process and system improvements within the finance team as well as operations to maximise efficiency and accuracy
How will you connect to the role?
- Tertiary qualifications in Accountancy or Finance
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Significant experience gained working in accounting role within a complex operating environment
- Experience gained within the construction or infrastructure will be highly regarded (not a prerequisite)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Skilled in financial analysis, reporting and forecasts
- Has a strong ability to provide leadership to a team of professionals
