Job Description

Roster: On-Call
Hourly Rate: $60.39 per hour + Superannuation
Type: Casual

We’re seeking Fixed Plant Operators to come onboard on a casual basis to assist with the movement of bulk materials at the our Port operation. The role involves some manual labour, particularly at the grid, helping to move product through as required.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Efficiently unload trucks, ensuring safe and timely transfer of materials.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on plant equipment for optimal functionality.
  • Conduct general inspections to promptly address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with management, contractors, operator maintainers, and loader operators.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety regulations strictly.
  • Operate mobile equipment responsibly and report hazards promptly.
  • Contribute to safety protocol development and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including unloading, maintenance, and safety checks.
  • Ensure proper documentation of incidents and resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Valid and current licence.
  • Verification of competency (VOC) for Front-End Wheel Loader (FEL).
  • Relevant VOC’s for other machinery operations.
  • Applicants must hold a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
