About the role:
We are looking for a hard working full-time Carpenter. The role will include doing repairs and maintenance to ensure the safety, functionality, and visual appeal of the school. 

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Carpenter will play a vital role in maintaining the School's facilities and infrastructure to an exceptional standard. 

You will:

  • Liaise daily with the Facilities Manager regarding your work priorities for the day

  • Provide general maintenance using trade-qualified carpentry techniques

  • Provide carpentry and building support to maintenance staff in the upkeep and improvement of school buildings and infrastructure

  • Communicate efficiently and in a timely manner with the Facilities Manager regarding maintenance, repair and support needs, including scheduled and planned events or activities

You have:

  • A certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent recognised trade qualification)

  • Relevant trade contractor licence (where applicable)

  • A current Queensland Driver Licence (open and manual classification).

  • Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, carpentry and building works within a commercial, educational or similar environment

  • High-level focus and strong attention to detail

  • The ability to understand regular tasks, checklists, and service request actions

  • A team player who can also work autonomously

  • Strong communication skills and can interact with staff and colleagues
