Bitumen Scheduler

Downer is seeking a highly organised and proactive Bitumen Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day bitumen transport operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and exceptional service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.

Based out of Qantas Drive Brisbane, you’ll play a key role as the central point of contact, working closely with production teams, subcontractors, and customers to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule and allocate transport resources to meet operational and customer requirements.
• Coordinate bookings, orders, and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure seamless service.
• Monitor fleet utilisation and drive efficiency and cost-effective planning.
• Maintain accurate records and simple reporting (including spreadsheets).
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility and safety standards.
• Promote and uphold a strong Zero Harm safety culture.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Previous experience in logistics, transport scheduling, or a similar role (preferred).
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions quickly.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• A strong customer focus and commitment to quality outcomes.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
