We're hiring Asphalt Production Operators to join our crew at our two metropolitan asphalt plants in Perth. Our Gosnells facility is located in the Tonkin Highway industrial corridor and our Hope Valley plant sits south of Kwinana, both well positioned and easy to access from across Perth's southern suburbs.
If you've got experience in asphalt production, concrete batching, quarry or crushing operations, fixed-plant processing, or you're stepping up from a civil construction or labouring background into plant operations, we'd like to hear from you.
This is a hands-on production role. You'll operate plant and mobile equipment, support daily production activities, troubleshoot issues as they come up, manage raw materials, and assist with preventative maintenance. The asphalt we produce goes straight onto Perth's roads, so quality and safety aren't optional.
There is also a customer-facing element to this role. You'll interact with drivers and customers at the plant, so clear and professional communication matters. Internally, you'll need to coordinate effectively with your crew and other teams to keep production running smoothly.

Career progression opportunities across Downer's national network
A team culture built on safety, teamwork, and Zero Harm
