What’s on offer?

We are looking for a full-time Asphalt Plant Operator/Batcher to join the team. This position will be based at our Bushells Ridge facility. The successful candidate will be self-driven, have a keen interest in production, fixed and mobile plant and will work closely with the Asphalt Production team to promote and build our business.

While previous experience in asphalt production is preferred, candidates from related industries are encouraged to apply, with training provided to the successful applicant.

We are open to applicants who have boiler making experience or who are completing their apprenticeship within the industry.

How you’ll connect to the role?

  • Experience as an Asphalt Plant Operator/Batcher or similar role in a production environment
  • Understanding of asphalt batching processes and quality control standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance
  • Experience in operating heavy machinery and hold current licences
  • Have a strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and organisational skills

It would be advantageous if you have:

  • Trade qualification (highly desired)
  • Current driver's license
  • Forklift and front-end loader tickets (preferred)
  • Experience as a boilermaker or fitter, or an apprentice in these trades
