Location: Darwin (with travel to Wadeye when operationally required)

About Us

Thamarrurr Development Corporation (TDC) is a not-for-profit, registered charitable organisation owned by the Wangka, Tjanpa and Lirga peoples. Established by the 20 clans of the Thamarrurr Region, TDC represents and supports business, employment, training and socio-economic development across one of Australiaโ€™s largest remote Indigenous communities, Wadeye.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Administration & Logistics Officer to be based in our Darwin office. This role is central to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across administrative, reception, travel and logistics functions, supporting staff and programs operating in both urban and remote environments.

This is a hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys variety, works well under pressure, and is confident managing logistics in a fast-paced, community-focused organisation

Key Responsibilities

Administration, Reception & Logistics

  • Provide high-level administrative support across the organisation
  • Coordinate deliveries, dispatches and maintain inventory records
  • Manage mail, couriers, office supplies and registers
  • Ensure a professional and welcoming front office environment
  • Provide backup support during staff absences or peak periods

Travel & Freight Coordination

  • Arrange flights, accommodation and ground transport for staff and visitors
  • Liaise with travel and freight providers to secure cost-effective bookings
  • Manage last-minute changes and disruptions
  • Coordinate and track freight movements between locations
  • Maintain accurate travel and booking registers

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and service providers
  • Communicate professionally across all levels of the organisation
  • Support culturally appropriate engagement with community members

About You

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in administration, logistics or office coordination
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to the values and purpose of a not-for-profit organisation supporting remote communities

Requirements

  • National Police Check
  • NT Working with Children (Ochre Card)
  • Minimum C Class Driverโ€™s Licence
  • Northern Land Council Work Permit (assistance provided)
