Mandatory requirement
The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). To be eligible, you must hold valid photo identification and successfully meet all background and security clearance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Airport Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of Star’s van and truck vehicles, as well as a wide variety of duties, including but not limited to driving of trucks, vehicle maintenance and assisting with cabin cleaning and linen/stock deliveries.
Your work will include:

Safely prepare, operate and manoeuvre vehicles for airside use

Marshal trucks alongside aircraft in accordance with safety procedures

Load, unload and sort stock, linen and equipment for delivery and collection

Assist with cabin cleaning services in line with airline and Star Aviation procedures

Conduct vehicle checks, refuel as required and ensure compliance at all times

Safely operate Ground Service Equipment (GSE) where qualified

Coordinate on- and off-airport collections and deliveries with suppliers

Reconcile deliveries and report discrepancies promptly

Maintain strict adherence to safety, security and airside operational standards

Represent Star Aviation and airline partners professionally while working independently or as part of a team
We’re looking for someone who is physically fit, a strong team player, and able to stay calm in high-pressure situations. You should be dependable, flexible, and open to changing priorities, with the ability to respond quickly and professionally to the demands of the role.
What You Bring
- A Medium Ridge Licence or Heavy Ridge Licence (Mandatory requirement)
- Full Australian driver’s licence
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 10 - 20kg and stay on your feet
- Reliable, adaptable, and a team-first attitude
