Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle.

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our global team of experts within a large and well-established international consultancy, giving you the opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work, project management and client relationships.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Structural design of buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting.
• Working collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
• Project management and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Working as part of a team on projects from conception, through to final design and construction surveillance.
• Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture.

What you will bring to the team:

• A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 8-12 years’ industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
• Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
• Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards. 
• Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
