Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with specialist experience in HVAC to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle, or any other of GHD’s Northern NSW offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity to and make an impact on local Buildings projects in our region, and to work as part of our global team in a large and well-established international consultancy, with your role offering great scope for career growth.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
 

• Leading high-profile buildings projects that shape our built environment.
• Overseeing mechanical engineering design for HVAC projects for complex construction initiatives.
• Providing clients with expert technical guidance and strategic advice, while developing and maintaining strong and supportive client relationships
• Providing leadership to project teams and offering guidance and mentoring to junior team members
• Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture.

What would you bring to the team?

• A relevant university degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Between 7 – 14 years of experience and proven expertise in HVAC Systems from within a consulting environment.
• Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
• A passion for delivering high-quality, bespoke solutions and mentoring others.
