Our people collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated, sustainable outcomes on some of the most complex projects in the built environment. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Buildings Civil team in Adelaide, supporting a diverse portfolio of major projects across health, education, defence, civic, cultural and commercial sectors. 

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next? 

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the planning, design and delivery of complex civil engineering solutions within multidisciplinary building projects. You’ll work closely with architects, structural engineers and other specialists to translate project requirements into safe, sustainable and buildable outcomes across design and delivery phases. This role suits an experienced civil engineer who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring others, and seeing projects through from concept to construction. Here are the key things you’ll do to bring ideas to life: 

• Lead and deliver civil engineering design across complex built‑environment projects, including site development, drainage, pavements and access
• Prepare and review civil design outputs, drawings and specifications, ensuring quality, compliance and constructability 
• Resolve design gaps and coordinate interfaces across disciplines within multidisciplinary project teams 
• Apply engineering judgement to address complex technical challenges on constrained sites 
• Support and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and constructive feedback 
• Contribute to planning and resourcing of design packages or workstreams within larger projects 
• Engage with internal stakeholders and project teams to support positive client outcomes 
• Promote safe, sustainable and compliant engineering design in line with industry standards 

What we’re looking for: 

• Strong experience as a civil engineer within the built environment, ideally in a consultancy environment  
• Proven capability delivering civil design on building‑led or precinct projects rather than council‑focused planning works  
• Experience supporting or leading components of large, complex projects  
• Defence or defence‑adjacent project experience is desirable but not essential  
• Proficiency with standard civil engineering design software (e.g. 12D, Civil 3D or similar)  
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly  
• Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and managing priorities 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Working toward, or eligibility for, professional engineering accreditation is advantageous
