This is a rare opportunity to collaborate with a Tier 1 contractor on a major greenfield project for an international client, based in Cloncurry, Queensland.

The Eva Copper Mine is an iron oxide copper gold resource set to become the largest copper mine in North West Queensland.

From day one, you’ll be supported with a thorough handover to set you up for success.

You’ll be part of the construction stage, seeing the project come to life and becoming part of its story.

If you’re a Civil Engineer with proven design experience, on-site exposure, and knowledge of TMR standards within heavy industry, mining, or minerals processing, we’d love to hear from you.

Primary Duties

  • Coordinate on-site engineering and quality assurance to ensure safety, compliance with design, and delivery on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with project teams for design reviews, constructability improvements, resource forecasts, and process enhancements.
  • Interpret and implement designs during construction, ensuring compatibility with project requirements.
  • Monitor progress, report to senior engineers, and ensure adherence to schedules and specifications.
  • Witness and close-out quality assurance documentation, including ITPs, check sheets, and non-conformance reports.
  • Manage technical queries, attend site meetings, and ensure orderly documentation and correspondence.
  • Support continuous improvement in quality management processes to uphold project standards.

 

Who are you?

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or Construction Management is essential.
  • Proven experience in site-based roles, with a strong background in earthworks and roadworks within the mining and minerals processing sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Adaptable and proactive in complex, evolving project environments.
  • Proficient in civil design software, particularly 12d and AutoCAD.
