What’s the role?

As a Property Risk Manager (PRM), you’ll provide independent, specialist real estate risk expertise to support Westpac’s property lending businesses. You’ll play a key role in assessing new property lending opportunities (typically $10m plus exposures) and supporting existing portfolios through disciplined risk analysis and market insight.

You’ll work closely with bankers, credit teams, valuers, and external consultants to assess market conditions, cash flow sustainability, and asset quality. This includes conducting site inspections, reviewing valuations, identifying key risks and mitigants, and contributing directly to credit submissions.

You’ll deliver outcomes safely by applying sound property judgement, make an impact by shaping lending decisions, and own your advice end‑to‑end from origination through to portfolio management. The role also involves staying close to market trends, legislative changes, and building strong local industry networks. 

This is a permanent fulltime Adelaide based role with flexible working arrangements (3 days in office).

What do I need?

  • Extensive experience in the property valuation industry, across a range of asset classes
  • Strong ability to identify key market risks and recommend practical mitigants
  • Experience supporting large or complex property lending transactions, including credit submissions
  • Experience in Going Concerns valuations would be desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, with API or RICS accreditation (Associate or Fellow)
