Production Scheduler- Frame & Truss

Sunshine Frame & Truss are a leading supplier of Timber Frame & Truss into the Southeast Queensland market and are proudly part of the Sunshine Mitre 10 Group.

We are on the lookout for a motivated and organised Production Scheduler to join our growing team in a Permanent Part-Time role (25-30 hours per week). We understand the importance of work-life balance and can offer flexibility with school hours for the right candidate.

The Role

The primary purpose of the Production Scheduler is to manage and maintain the frame and truss production and delivery schedule using MiTek Sapphire, ensuring jobs are detailed, released, manufactured and delivered on time.

You will be the key link between detailing, production, transport, sales and customers, ensuring all schedules, priorities and changes are clearly communicated and aligned with agreed service standards and lead times.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the frame and truss production schedule in MiTek Sapphire.
• Review incoming jobs and customer requests to ensure they meet agreed service offerings and lead times.
• Assess customer date changes, priority requests and variations, identifying impacts on factory capacity and delivery schedules.
• Conduct daily scheduling meetings with the Production Manager to confirm priorities and constraints.
• Release jobs to the factory once detailing is complete and scheduling requirements are met.
• Monitor production progress and adjust sequencing to maintain on-time delivery.
• Communicate schedule changes to detailing, sales, transport and yard teams.
• Provide clear communication to customers regarding confirmed dates and changes.
• Maintain accurate system data, approvals and email communication trails.
• Identify risks early and escalate issues impacting production flow or delivery commitments.

Ideally You Will Have

• Experience in production scheduling, manufacturing coordination or logistics (frame & truss experience highly regarded).
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities.
• Clear communication skills with both internal teams and customers.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
• Confidence using scheduling or production software (MiTek Sapphire desirable).
