This is an exciting opportunity to join GEC on the Santos Cooper Midstream Simplification (CMS) project — one of Australia’s most significant energy infrastructure programs currently under delivery. This is a single-project contract expected to run through to late October 2026. For the right people, further opportunities exist within the Global Group’s growing project portfolio beyond this contract.
With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by:
• Install, repair and upgrade above-ground and buried pipelines and production/processing facilities at Port Bonython
• Carry out general fabrication, maintenance and repairs to onsite equipment and facilities
• Perform mechanical works across both greenfield and brownfield environments
• Undertake pneumatic and hydrostatic testing as required
• Complete tasks to agreed schedules and specifications with actual hours at or below planned
• Participate in daily pre-start meetings, task safety analysis and SWMS reviews
• Maintain tools and equipment to a high standard at all times
Mandatory Requirements
All of the following must be held at time of application. Applications without these will not be progressed.
• Construction Induction (White Card)
• Current Driver's Licence
• Flange Management Level 1
• Gas Test Atmospheres
• Trade Certificate (Mechanical Trade/Fitter)
Desired Requirements (not essential, but highly regarded):
• Flange Management Level 2
• Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Provide First Aid
• Work Safely at Heights
• O&G construction or maintenance trade experience
