How you’ll make an impact

The Licensee and Adviser Operations Manager leads a high-performing team responsible for the registration, ongoing maintenance, and compliance of Licensees and Advisers on the North platform. The role ensures adviser records are accurately reconciled with ASIC FAR, oversees the reconciliation and settlement of adviser remuneration payments, and ensures KYC and AML/CTF obligations are met for Licensees, Advisers, and Clients. The role works closely with the North Service Centre to deliver strong operational governance, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service outcomes for the AMP Adviser Network and their customers.

Main Focus Areas;

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle management of Licensees and Advisers on the North platform, including onboarding, registration, ongoing maintenance, and offboarding, ensuring a high-quality service experience for advisers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Lead and direct both onshore and offshore teams responsible for Licensee and Adviser administration, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with service, quality, and regulatory standards. 
  • Ensure all Adviser records are accurately reconciled with the ASIC Financial Advisers Register (FAR), maintaining data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Oversee the reconciliation, settlement, and governance of adviser remuneration payments across Licensees, ensuring payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with contractual and regulatory obligations. 
  • Maintain strong operational governance and assurance across Licensee and Adviser processes, ensuring adherence to AML/CTF obligations, KYC requirements, and AMP policies and controls. 
  • Manage compliance obligations and delegated authorities, ensuring all decisions and actions align with regulatory, legal, and AMP policy frameworks. 
  • Foster a Licensee- and adviser-centric approach through clear, proactive, and transparent communication, supporting effective issue resolution and confidence in North’s operational processes. 
  • Continuously improve operational processes, quality assurance, and service delivery standards to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and stakeholder experience. 
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across the business, collaborating with stakeholders to identify issues, co-design solutions, and embed best-practice operational outcomes. 
  • Identify, assess, and implement improvements to systems, processes, and controls, ensuring alignment with AMP’s strategic objectives and regulatory expectations. 
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and broader North teams to deliver accurate and timely regulatory reporting and assess the impact of regulatory change. 
  • Leverage data and insights from operational and compliance activities to inform decision-making, drive continuous improvement, and support strategic outcomes. 

What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role: 

  • Previous 5+ years experience in relevant professional role and working across a fast paced, customer/client service orientated team environment and/or financial service industry and driving a collaborative, high performance culture
  • Competent understanding and experience of wealth management and end to end business operations
  • Ability to deliver results through others via effective leadership and coaching
  • Understanding of competitors propositions and Superannuation/Investment industry trends, as they relate to the wealth management, in particular platforms environment
  • Understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or preparedness to undergo studies in business or finance desirable
  • Qualifications appropriate to the management of Licensee, Adviser and Client oversight and ongoing due diligence
