About This Business

Our business partner is a well‑established, privately owned engineering consultancy with a growing Gold Coast presence, operating as part of a national engineering group.

They provide integrated geotechnical, civil, structural and construction materials testing services across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects and are known for their hands‑on leadership, strong technical mentorship, and collaborative culture.

The business offers clients the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners while building meaningful, long‑term relationships with business partners.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer, from early‑career through to approximately 6–8 years experience, to join a growing Gold Coast team.

The role offers a balanced mix of fieldwork, technical reporting, project delivery, and business partner engagement. Youll work across a diverse portfolio of projects while being supported by experienced senior engineers and a broader national technical network.

Whether you are currently in consulting and looking for greater responsibility and exposure, or seeking a more supportive environment to continue developing your technical capability, this role provides a strong platform for progression.

  • Prepare high‑quality factual and interpretive geotechnical reports
  • Provide construction verification support for foundations, earthworks and retaining structures
  • Assist with slope stability and basic retention assessments (with senior support)
  • Manage elements of projects and communicate effectively with business partners and stakeholders
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors and business partners

Ideal Client Profile

  • Approximately 2–8 years experience in geotechnical engineering (flexible depending on capability)
  • Strong site investigation and logging experience
  • Confident producing clear, professional interpretive reports
  • Working knowledge of GeoStudio / SlopeW and AutoCAD (advantageous)
  • Comfortable working autonomously with access to senior technical support
  • Strong communication skills and a business partner‑focused mindset
  • Working towards or interested in attaining RPEQ and/or CPEng
