The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our mechanical site maintenance crew, supporting the team with varying maintenance and small-scale capital upgrades for industrial clients across the Newcastle region. If you enjoy hands-on work, steady hours, and being part of a team, this role is a great fit. You'll start each day on site before heading out in the work Ute with your crew to keep essential mechanical assets operating safely and reliably.

About You

• Site Proficient: Hold an Australian recognised trade certificate with experience working within a within a heavy industry environment.
• Technically Proficient: Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform tasks
• Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety
• Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, Driving Licence, White Card, Working at Heights, (within 3 years validity)
