Job Description
Estimator – Civil Infrastructure:
Acciona is a global leader in the development and delivery of sustainable infrastructure, delivering complex projects that create lasting value for communities. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in large-scale civil infrastructure projects to join our pre-contracts and project delivery team.
About the Role:
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs, resources, and risks associated with major civil construction projects. You will play a critical role in developing competitive and accurate tenders and supporting project planning through detailed cost analysis. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors, you will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for large-scale civil infrastructure projects
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope documentation
- Quantify materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor requirements
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Assist with bid and tender submissions, including cost plans and value engineering
- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost efficiencies during the estimating process
- Review construction methodologies and provide buildability input
- Support project teams during tender-to-delivery handover
- Maintain estimating databases and supporting documentation
Required Skills and Competencies
About You:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience as an Estimator on major civil infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, pavements, and civil structures
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
- Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
