The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
As the Corporate Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Ahpra’s enterprise‑wide approach to risk, resilience and integrity. Reporting to the National Director, Corporate Risk and Assurance, you will work closely with senior leaders across the organisation to embed contemporary, fit‑for‑purpose risk management practices that support effective decision‑making and uphold public safety.
We are seeking a Corporate Risk Manager to join our team on a full‑time, fixed‑term basis for 12 months, based in our Melbourne office.
In this high‑impact leadership role, you will lead the ongoing uplift of Ahpra’s Risk Framework while partnering with executives, National Boards and internal stakeholders to provide independent advice, insight and assurance. Your work will span strategic risk management, incident management, business continuity, insurance oversight and fraud and corruption control. You will also play a key role in strengthening governance reporting to the National Executive and the Audit and Risk Committee, contributing directly to Ahpra’s ability to operate efficiently, effectively and in alignment with regulatory expectations.
In this role, you will draw on strong technical capability, leadership experience and collaborative partnership skills to uplift Ahpra’s approach to risk, governance and organisational resilience.
