About the role

We are looking for Belt Maintainers to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance Team at Tom Price. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor and working in a diverse team within Tom Price Plant Maintenance, you will:

• Perform fabric belt splicing, including installation, repair, and maintenance of conveyor belts.
• Ensure the optimal operation of conveyor systems and fixed plant machinery.
• Work safely and efficiently to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
• Follow detailed procedures and guidelines to ensure proper splicing techniques. 
• Maintain high-quality safety standards and follow all safety protocols on site.
• Complete inspections, reports, and QA/QC documentation as required.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in conveyor systems and equipment, assisting in the design and modification of system.

About you

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team 
• Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset 
• Demonstrated experience working in fixed plant Belt Maintainer position.
• Source parts and Equipment in preparation for shutdowns while playing a key role in the execution of shutdown activities
• A current and valid C-Class manual Driver’s License
• High Risk Work Licenses (rigging, forklift and EWP is desirable)
• HR truck license (desirable)
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft applications such as excel desirable.

As a FIFO Belt Maintainer at Tom Price, you’ll be flying in from Perth to one of Rio Tinto’s longest-running and most established iron ore operations in the Pilbara.
