Skilled Trade Assistant

About the Role:

Due to rescheduling recently undertaken, Kent Projects requires additional Blue-Collar resources from February to undertake discrete work scopes/packages on the Ampol Future Fuels Project in Lytton. 

As an Electrical Trade Assistant at Kent, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Tradespeople with various tasks, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects. Your responsibilities will include supporting Tradespeople, maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring a safe working environment

This is an amazing opportunity to join a critical Australian infrastructure project which will be instrumental in reducing emissions and improving the environment. 

Your Day to Day will Include:

• Assist electricians with installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components including cable ladder, conduits, light fittings with support poles etc.
• Pull and run tie cables as directed.
• Prepare and clean work areas, including basic site setup and pack-up.
• Operate power tools and hand tools under supervision.
• Carry and manage materials, tools, and equipment safely.
• Adhere to all WHS (Work Health and Safety) procedures, PPE requirements and site safety rules.
• Support compliance with Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000 and others).
• Perform basic testing and tagging under guidance (if trained).
• Assist in reading and interpreting plans, drawings and schematics.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
• Follow the directions of your Supervisor or delegate.
• Complete any duties requested of you that are reasonably within your skillset and capability.

About You: 

Our ideal candidate will have experience working on construction projects and hold current Construction White Card, and a current Australian Driver’s License.
