We are looking to appoint a Project Engineer to join our Stabilisation Infrastructure Services Team based in Thornton. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will have full oversight on the project delivery ensuring safety, cost, quality and time targets are met; managing client, subcontractor and reporting to senior management on performance of your scope of works.
This role will suit a project engineer looking to further their career, or a site engineer looking for their next progression opportunity. Your day to day will include:
Preparation of management plans, including site specific assessments of inspection & test plan requirements, safe work method statement requirements and traffic control requirements
Preparation of all permits required to complete planned works in accordance with Fulton Hogan policies.
Management of internal finance systems, including raising and tracking purchase orders and assisting with incoming invoice requirements.
Participate in tender reviews and provide support to the estimating and tendering team as required.
Liaise with site supervisors to ensure timely collection of all required information and documentation.
Daily cost tracking against prepared budgets to identify issues and report through to the department manager.
Provide contractual support to site supervisors, including management of variations, extensions of time and non-conformances.
Safety management, including MSDS, SWMS & incident reporting.
Preparation of lot packages, including collation of relevant information in a timely manner for submission to clients.
Fostering client relationships following completion of projects.
What we need from you:
A strong commitment to safety
High level of motivation with a positive, can do attitude
Ability to travel and work away from home across regional NSW
Ability to work in a team & achieve quality work outcomes
Hold a valid C class drivers licence
Hold a construction induction card
You’ll have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with stabilisation or pavement construction experience.. Your strong communication skills, as well as the ability to both prioritise and problem solve, while managing stakeholder interests will set you up for success in this role.
